The College provides specialist
education and training for the wine tourism industry.
In partnership with the University of Southern
Queensland, Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE,
Stanthorpe State High School and 13 other Gateway
Schools, the College provides training from secondary to
tertiary levels in viticulture, oenology, tourism,
hospitality and business. The education and
training programs are developed in partnership with the
wine tourism industry.
The Queensland College of Wine
Tourism has state-of-the-art facilities and is
recognised as a lead centre for the wine tourism
industry. The College incorporates the Banca Ridge
Winery & Cellar door, Banca Ridge Vineyard and the
Varias Restaurant & Function
Centre.

Door - Open 10:00 am to 3:00pm, 7 days a
week
Open to the public from 10:00am to
3:00pm daily, Banca Ridge Cellar Door provides a commercial
education and training context for students of the
College and features the award winning Banca Ridge wines
made by students in the teaching winery.

Interpretive Gallery - the story of the Queensland Wine
Industry
Visitors to Banca Ridge can browse
through the Interpretive Gallery which tells the story
of the Queensland wine industry through static and
dynamic displays. Alternatively, book a tour of
the College which may include a three minute
presentation in the theatrette, usually presented by a
tourism student.
